BPHTB Tax Realization in East Jakarta Reaches Rp 4 Trillion

The East Jakarta Tax and Levy Agency has noted that the realization of building and land acquisition tax (BPHTB) in East Jakarta hits 44.55 percent from this year's target set by Rp 9.5 trillion. Until December, its realization has touched Rp 4,232 trillion or 44.55 percent.

"Tax realization will be high if there is a land sale and purchase transaction," expressed East Jakarta Tax and Retribution Sub-agency Head, Johari, Monday (12/2).

Lately many people are trying various ways to avoid paying the BPHTB tax. One way is to manipulate data on the number of land and buildings being traded.

To handle this case, officers are sent to the field and checked the houses that had been bought and sold.

"If it is found, we will issue the Tax Bill (STP) because there is a lack of tax payment," he stated.
